Improved Registration App for Pooled Saliva Testing

Dear Mustangs,

Thank you for your continued participation in our weekly COVID-19 pooled saliva testing. As we move forward with mandatory testing each week, SUNY Upstate Medical University has introduced an updated version of its web application used to register for testing.

This new update should make registration easier and more reliable, while requiring very few changes to the current registration process.

What Do You Need to Do?

The new website now being used for testing registration is www.clarifi-covid-19.com. However, the old website can still be used to automatically redirect you to the new site, and your current login information will remain the same. If you already have your login saved on your phone, you may have to type it in again the first time you use the new website, as it may not initially be recognized by your web browser.

It also is possible that you will need a verification code to sign in the first time, so please be sure to have access to your Morrisville email account to receive the code.

Editing your Profile

Once you have signed in for the first time, you will see a new dashboard that includes “Register a COVID-19 test.” Below that, you should also see a “Your Profiles” option, which would then include much of your personal information already auto-filled from the previous app. Click on the edit symbol on your Profile to verify that all information is up to date.

If you do not have a profile saved under "Your Profiles", click the “Add a Profile” option. This will direct you to a page asking you to fill out your personal information. The fields that must be filled out are mandated by the New York State Department of Health, and are required for insurance purposes.

The first screen will ask you to “Choose an Organization”; please use the dropdown menu to locate “SUNY Morrisville.” Following the “Personal Information” fields, you will arrive at the “Current Address” screen. Please enter your current SUNY Morrisville location. Listing your home address or permanent residence outside of Morrisville will significantly delay the reporting of test results to Madison County. The following screen, “Legal Address,” can include your permanent residence.

To help the testing process run as smoothly as possible, we encourage you to log in to the new website ahead of time to set up a profile. You will only have to do this once.

How Has the Process Changed?

While you will still begin the registration process by logging in to the app just before taking your pooled saliva test, the beginning steps within the app will look a little different.

You will begin the process by selecting “Register a COVID-19 Test.” If you have added a profile, it will be saved to your account and can then be selected through the “Who is Taking the Test?” option on the next screen. That will be followed by confirming your organization (SUNY Morrisville) and the Symptoms Check screen similar to the previous test (although now you only need to select “Yes” or “No” once for all symptoms, rather than individually). A new screen regarding the COVID-19 vaccine will follow, before the steps to complete your test registration the same as before will conclude the process.

Complete instructions for how to use the new app can be downloaded as a PDF and also is available in the menu located on the sign-in screen of the app.

Assistance Available

Volunteers are willing and able to assist you with any steps of the registration process on the day of testing. Should you have any questions prior to testing, you can contact the Help Desk.

A reminder that testing will take place each Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Recreation Center for the Morrisville Campus. For the Norwich Campus, testing is held every Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
