Pooled saliva testing results, and preparing for move-in testing

Published date
News Type

We have received results from all pooled saliva testing conducted on the Morrisville campus earlier this week. One student pool was positive, and reflex testing is underway. Affected individuals have been informed. All other pools were negative.

Residential student move-in begins officially tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 5, and runs through Sunday, Feb. 7. All students have been required to provide proof of a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken within seven (7) days prior to their return or provide documentation of a positive COVID-19 test within the last three (3) months and have since completed the proper isolation and quarantine protocols.

Mandatory pooled saliva testing will be conducted for all residential students upon arrival. Norwich Campus conducted its testing earlier this week. Students arriving without a pretest will either be tested and put into quarantine until reflex testing results are returned, or they will be turned away from campus until they provide proper documentation.

We now ask that everyone brings their Morrisville ID with them at the time of testing. This will help us record those who show up for testing, and those who will require follow-up.

More information is available on the college's recently updated COVID-19 webpages.

Our thanks to everyone who has helped prepare for this new semester, especially as we ramp up testing of all students, faculty and staff weekly. Stay safe and be patient with each other!
